The Boy Who Was Raised As A Dog It is amazing, ridiculous, and sometimes scary how the brain deals with trauma. It is also ludicrous to believe that your environment and how you are treated are not always believed to strongly affect children. The first story in this book is a very moving one. I thought it interesting and appropriate that that was his first child patient. One of the helpful people in this book that stood out to me was Mama P. Her intuitive knowledge of her babies is amazing. To have the strength and patience to bring in and care for a child like Robert is beautiful. I would love to meet and learn from someone like that.
